Super Bowl 2024: Where to watch Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs take on the 49ers in Austin

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events in the world and if you're not watching, you're missing out. The 58th edition will be a doozy, with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs taking on Brock Purdy and the 49ers.

So where should you go if football is something you watch once, maybe twice a year? Here are some suggestions for where to watch those commercials and see Usher perform at halftime.

Punch Bowl Social

With Bowl being in the name, it'd be criminal to not have a watch party. There are two locations, with one being in the Domain and the other being on Congress Avenue downtown. It's a wide, spacious area with plenty to do aside from watching the football teams do football things.

Punch Bowl Social at the Domain is one of the participating restaurants for the outdoor mall鈥檚 Taste of North Austin event.

Punch Bowl Social offers food, drink and entertainment opportunities with general admission tickets offering access to the restaurant and some free games. Food includes tacos, burgers and other sharables, perfect for mid-advertisement snacking.

Alcohol is available, but for those driving or who don't wish to drink, they have a selection of tasty mocktails as well to keep you and your night responsible.

Wingzup

Wings are a crucial food item for any football viewing experience. (By the way, boneless wings are not wings. They are chicken tenders.)

Wingzup, our recent winner of "Best Wings in Austin" is also gearing up for the Super Bowl. They offer plenty of variety, from bone-in, boneless, smoked and deep-fried. You can also douse them in a variety of 25 different sauces, meaning there will be something for everyone.

There's not much entertainment-wise, but that's not Wingzup niche. It's in the name, so if you check it out just be ready to chow down on some wings and see Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs face off with Brock Purdy and the 49ers.

Meanwhile Brewing Co

Meanwhile Brewing's outdoor seating area and selection of tasty brews make it the perfect spot for you and your friends to gather for Super Bowl Sunday.

The 3.7-acre brewery has award-winning IPAs聽and lagers,聽spins on traditional cocktails and a selection of food trucks to curb your hunger.聽It also has a massive outdoor TV for people to gather around for that feeling of football comradery. Meanwhile, (hah) those looking for indoor seating can gather in the taproom to chat and gaze upon the 15-barrel brewhouse.

The watch party starts at noon with free RSVPs available to be made online. Outside food and drink are not allowed, and they recommend getting there early to scout out a table.

The Cavalier

Best known for having one of the tastiest bar burgers in town, the Cavalier is with some discounted drinks and appetizers.

Jell-O shots, Coors Original on draft, and Well Drinks are all under $5, with the Deviled Eggs clocking in at the same price. There's indoor and outdoor seating along with seven screens, so no worrying about crowding around a television for the best angle.

Reservations aren't available so it's first-come first-served. Grab yourself some of the best wings in town and, yes, the burger before sitting down to enjoy Chiefs vs. 49ers.

Arrive East Austin

Arrive is an 83-room boutique hotel that will be There'll be outdoor and indoor couch/table seating with a huge projector that will display the game.

Happy hour starts at 3 p.m. and goes through 11 p.m. During that time, there'll be $2 off draft beer, $1 off wine by the glass, $1 off cocktails and $2 off select snacks. A classic six-piece of buffalo wings will come for $9.

Spots are available to be reserved but at the event, seating is first-come first-served.
